Creative Commons License

Good evening everyone!

I have decided to license my blog with a Creative Commons License. With this, people can use my have the possibility to share and distribute my work commercially, with the principal condition of crediting me because of the original idea. I took that decision due to the fact that my blog will be about CLIL methodology and the majority of the images which I will upload will be created on my own. As the same way I would like to be allowed to share the content that other people upload to the Internet, I prefer give them the same possibility. Anyway, as teachers and educators, we have the moral obligation to help each other.

At the same time, we might encourage our students to use Creative Commons License with the reason to respect and valuate others´ creations, because in that way, their own crreations and inventions will be respected and valuated too.

We have to motivate our students to use Creative Commons material in order to make themselves proud of their works, when they will see them been used by other authors. They have to know that they cannot use all the material uploaded at the Internet, because so much authors don´t want them to do that; that´s the author-user relationship. Children must be aware of the laws and permissions which they can choose for their content.

Twitter

Hi everyone!

Do you know Twitter? Really not? It´s a very known social network! Twitter consists on post a tweet writing only 140 characters. Many famous (and non-famous) people use it to share their ideas with others and follow their friends.
I use Twitter since I was 18 but I have been the network a little bit deserted the last years because of the lack of time I have had... Nowadays, I have returned to use it thanks to my TIC´s subject from my Master. I´m still actualizing my Twitter so don´t be too much implacable with me, please!

Following, I will add an example of one of my tweets. This one which was published using the hastag of my subject #ictclil_urjc. There I show my opinion that the main function of teachers is to provide their students the tools to build their own learning, not to use them as a machines where they have to introduce by force theoretical concepts. This idea explains one of the foundations of CLIL methodology, where the focuses are students and teachers are the guides.

In my opinion, teachers have to introduce new technologies because children can take advantages from them sharing information with their classmates, looking for more information and new resources... Teachers have to teach them how to use them correctly.

I hope I would encourage you to use Twitter! Following your friends in Twitter is very very fun! You can follow me in @cristinarisueno
See you soon.

PLE and PLN mind map

Nice to see you again!

I´ have done my personal PLE and PLN mind map, made up with Popplet. And I would like to share with you my experience.
First of one, I would like to introduce Popplet: It´s an amazing webtool where you can build very nice mind maps without making a great efford. You can change the letter thype and the colour, choose if you want your labs bigger or smaller, and you can also add photos and videos. Of course, you are allow to make as many popples as you want and to have access to them when you can on the website.

Secondly, I would like to explain briefly my mind map. Sorry, because it could be seen very little. On the one hand, I have explained my Personal Learning Environment which means the tools and posibilities that Internet allows us to learn, share, look for, create, organize... new learning. On the other hand, inside a PLE, you can find some tools and the Personal Learning Network. That last one means the tools or means I use in order to take into contact with others and look for their information. I´m not going to enumerate all of these tools and programmes (that is my mind map´s function).
I believe that this webtool is very useful to use in class because it can help children to organize their ideas making maps about their topics.
Finally, I would like to recomend you all the webtools and programs I have mentioned on the map because, from my point of view, all of them are very usefull, not only to know more about CLIL methodology but also in our job as a teacher and in our personal life too.
Thank you so much. I hope you will enjoy it!

My 3, 2, 1 presentation!

Welcome to my Powtoon presentation!

I have made a video to present myself and I have choosen Powtoon, a nice free webtool to create animated presentations and videos through the Internet. That webtool has several advantages:
- You can include videos, images and sounds in order to make your presentation as fun as possible.
- Powtoon alows you to use some templates or other presentations made up before, and modify them in order to make your work easier.
- It also offers you some tutorials to learn how to use the webtool, overall at the beginning (you will learn fast because it is easy to use).
-  Powtoon has a free version and a premiun version. You only will have to create your own profile for the free version.

I believe that Powtoon can be used in class in order to introduce new technologies. Children can make their own presentations and also, make presentations about the topic they are studying; they can work at classroom or at home; in groups or individually...
So, from my way of thinking, Powtoon is very useful, not only in your personal life but also you can use it for your job. I am sure I will use it when I will be a teacher! And you?
I hope you would enjoy it!
