My final challenge

Good morning everybody!

Since my experience with ICT at my Master's Degree is finishing, my last challenge is to create a video including my final reflections about this subject. I have explained the challenge and the web tool I liked the most.

For creating this presentation I have used Capzles, since most of my peers have used it before and they had a great experience with it. Besides, I wanted to use a tool which I have never used it before. I made some screenshots of the challenges I made and I included them in the slides. Furthermore, I recorded a little oral explanation about them with a music background. I chose that song since it is relaxed and methodical, so I considered it perfect for that occasion. You can listen it here.

Capzles is really easy to use and intuitive, but the free version only allows you to do somethings; for instance, you cannot upload pdf´s, videos or other files, only images and mp3 fields. Here, you can see this final project.

My experience with ICT´s has been satisfactory and stressful at the same time, but it´s a fact that I have learnt lots of programs and web tools which will make my classes and future projects very complete! I would like to have more time to enjoy this experience since I consider I would learnt more and more! However, thank you so much to my teacher María Jesús and, of course, thank you so much to you for following me! Thanks a lot!

Creating a rubric for an e-Project

Hello friends!

This is one of the last tasks we are going to do in the subject of TIC with María Jesús… So that, the main aim of it is to self-assess our work.

As you have seen in some of my last posts (Infoedugraphic, Sweet Chocotalk about CLIL, Videochallenge: TIC and The Magic Planet and Piktochart Slideshow), I have create a collaborative e-Project with some of my classmates Gonzalo, María, Celia and Estrella. In this case, it is and individual work in which I had to create a rubric in order to evaluate our e-Project. I have to say that my rubric is based on our project, but it also can be used to assess other different projects of course.

Well, to create the e-Project rubric I decided to use the web tool Quick Rubric inside all the possibilities that María Jesús gave us since I saw that some of my classmates used it and they were very satisfied.

From the very beginning, I found Quick Rubric extremely easy to use. The first think you have to do is to create your own account. Once you are logged in, you have to choose the option "create a rubric". Then, you have to insert a tittle and a description of your rubric, choose how many rows and columns you want to get, the evaluation criterias and the scores you want to use. In my case, I decided to include the following evaluation criteria:

  • Content
  • Use of multimedia tools
  • Organization
  • Language
  • Creativity
  • License

On the other hand, I found also some aspects which I didn´t like so much… with Quick Rubric, I couldn´t change the appearance of the table (the type of letter, the colour or the size), so I consider in that way the rubric is not very personalized, nor sharing the rubric since the program don´t give you and embed code or the possibility to share it in some Social Network such as Facebook, Twitter or Pinterest. For that reason, I used a web tool called Embed Code Generator

However, I consider this task very useful, since examining my e-Project I could see some “mistakes” or things that could be improved, so this task has help me to get a critical thinking about what I made.

You can see the rubric of my e-Project below:
 Quick Rubric :)

Don not hesitate to evaluate my project using it and share with me the results, or use it to assess other projects. Thank you peers and I hope you´ll enjoy it! :)
